The Slow Show
A little show about big love and big little things
Trichia is a nature-loving human and Helix a giant garden snail. They live in Helix’s beautifully crafted shell and are slowly travelling the world, enjoying the magic in simple things.
The show is part installation, part theatre, and part roving performance.
The snail house travels slowly around any given area, before setting up a simple campsite. Here, this odd, yet charming couple invite people to share a cup of tea, hear a song or a travel story, or perhaps have a cooking lesson in salt and sugar free cuisine.
A heart-warming, visually enticing and beautifully crafted act, adding magic realism to any setting.
First commissioned for Splendour in the Grass Arts Program.
